Dr. Phil Vahey
SRI International
Phil Vahey received his Ph.D. in Education from
the UC Berkeley School of Education. In his work he designed and
created software-enhanced curriculum that helped middle school
students learn probability theory. Prior to this he worked in the
software industry for eight years as a software programmer, project
manager, and engineering manager, most recently for FileMaker Pro
at Claris Corporation (now FileMaker, Inc.). As Industry Alliance
Program Manager, Phil is combining his experiences from industry
and academia by fostering collaborations that have the potential to
create technological breakthroughs that can help students learn in
new and exciting ways.
